Doom VFR

Let the 3dRudder give you more power

After having experienced players’ frustrations with teleportation, Dooms VFR recently released a free locomotion version, which is great news for the fans. We, at 3dRudder, offer 2 exclusive features that kick Doom VFR up a notch: smooth free rotation that brings a deeper level of immersion, plus the capacity to free up both your hands to shoot big guns! Obviously, that’s a game changer, and it most probably makes the 3dRudder the best motion controller for Doom VFR.

Without the 3dRudder

Doom VFR is not a mere VR upgrade of the Doom license. Doom VFR was developed exclusively for VR and is a new episode in itself. Fans of fast-paced FPS games will be able to eviscerate and exterminate legions of demons in virtual reality in what seems to be the most brutal, and enjoyable FPS in VR to this day. Exciting! While the developers initially made the choice to use teleportation only (and dashes), they then released a free locomotion version that finally meets the fans’ expectation.
Well, 3dRudder kicks Dooms VFR up a notch…

With the 3dRudder

We, at 3dRudder, offer you a unique combination of movement and increased firepower. Of course, you enjoy the same free locomotion: you can walk, run, dodge fire, retreat, and turn around to confront your enemies. The 3dRudder enabling combination of movements, it is incredibly intuitive to move wherever you want to. What’s really a game changer is the 3dRudder-exclusive free rotation feature. Turn either left or right as much as you want: from only a few degrees up to full 360° turns just by pivoting the 3dRudder. Free rotation in Doom VFR brings immersion to a deeper level.
The 3dRudder being a foot-powered controller, assigning motion management to your feet makes you gain tremendous fire power: both your hands are dedicated to slaughtering demons with grenades and bad-ass big guns. And since you operate the 3dRudder while seated, everybody can play at home easily with no need for extra dedicated space, nor having issue with cable management. And we promise that once you’re in the game and empowered with free locomotion and free rotation, immersion is at its best. You’re going to have a great VFR time!
